Woman Stabbed 12 Times In Attempt Robbery Downtown Kingston

A woman is now battling for life in hospital following a brazen attack in which she was stabbed multiple times by a man in downtown Kingston.

Reports are that about 6:30 pm on Saturday, the woman was involved in an argument with the man at the intersection of West Queen Street and Princess Street, when she was allegedly attacked.

"She was stabbed 12 times by the man," a police source told the News Team.

The man was later apprehended while he was trying to escape; however, the police have not released his name.

The police believe the man attacked the woman after he tried to rob her, but was interrupted when she realised what was happening and raised an alarm.
