Pastor Kicks Pregnant Woman in The Stomach; “God said he is done.”

Charismatic preachers are known for using unusual methods during prayer services. From hitting foreheads to speaking in tongues, these bizarre displays often leave onlookers scratching their heads in wonder.

In recent news, a preacher reportedly kicked a pregnant woman in her abdomen repeatedly while praying over her.

Bishop Daniel Obinim is a Ghanaian pastor who founded the International God’s Way Church (I.G.W.C), located in Kumasi, Ghana. The church’s website, bishopobinim.org, states that it “was established in 2004 under God’s power and direction through Bishop Daniel Obinim.”

A video was taken by a member of the crowd who was amazed at the events that were unfolding. Obinim repeatedly stepped on a visibly pregnant woman’s stomach while he attempted to perform an exorcism.

In the video, there are several churchgoers who make no attempts to stop Obinim from harming the woman and unborn child.

The news team reports that Obinim and his methods have been a source of contention before and calls him “one of Ghana’s most controversial ‘Men of God.’”

The woman looked as if she was in pain while Obinim assures her that all would be well. Despite the woman’s groaning, Obinim continues pressing his foot into her stomach over and over again. When he finally finishes, he says, “God said he is done.”

Vicky T. Okine, Executive Director of Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights (ARHR), described the actions on the video as a “sad reflection of how gullible we are as a community and consequently, how susceptible we are to exploitation – both of which contribute negatively to maternal and newborn survival.”

ARHR has called on the Christian Council as well as the Ghana Pentecostal Council to take action when it comes to these types of inhumane incidents that take place within churches. They are also calling for accountability among pastors who take advantage of their church members.

There is only one brief statement on the I.W.G.C. website in regards to the video: “If you don’t understand spirituality, you might think this is a joke. There is more than the physical eye can see.” The video is posted on the website.
